Our little local, 4&20 Bakery is the place to go if you’re after artisan bread,  sandwiches, pastries and fresh baking. They use organic and free-range ingredients where possible, and everything is made by hand.

You can also grab yourself an organic coffee, tea or juice.

The cafe is small but has a huge kitchen out the back where the magic happens. Key features include the white tiles, rustic flour bags stacked up against the wall and monochrome stools.

On Saturday morning, I picked up their sunflower and flaxseed sourdough to have for breakfast at home – it has the perfect chewy crust and a soft, seedy interior. I also bought one of their sugary cinnamon Morning Buns (like a cinnamon scroll), a fresh croissant and a warm, savoury brioche. Excellent stuff.

To top it off, their staff are always super welcoming.
